Under 5 ages (born in 2021 & 2022)
The Under 5 age programs will take place as follows. Bloomfield will be running an Under 5 dedicated soccer program. We will also be operating an Under 5 program out of our home base of Hernewood. The maximum number that Bloomfield can take will be 20 players. For Hernewood we will take as many players as we can and if we have a very large group then we will have two sessions back to back. At the moment the other community programs will be offering active start programs only for the under 5 age groups so if you are taking part in that, you will register directly with your local community - please do not register with club in this instance.
Under 7 ages (born in 2019 & 2020):
For the Under 7 age group - teams will hopefully be created within each of the communities of Tignish, Alberton, O'Leary and Ellerslie (at the moment we are unsure if there will be an under 7 program out of Bloomfield or Evangeline). We would like to see coaches volunteer in each of these communities to spend time with these players and once we know how many teams we have we can connect coaches to teams.
The teams that are created will be co-ed teams and as well as having a weekly practice in their community, these teams will come out to Hernewood one night a week for a weekly game which is also how we run our Under 9 age groups. This has proven to be very successful at Under 9 so we anticipate that having a weekly schedule of games will be a much better solution for this age.
Therefore, all Under 7 aged players for all community programs will register thru the West Prince Storm soccer club and in the registration process you will see a question asking which community you are playing out of - please select that community and we will forward all names onward to both the community recreation directors so they have a list to help with uniform handouts and coaches who hopefully join up once we have them assigned with a team.
Under 9 ages (born in 2017 & 2018)
The plan is to try and create both female and male teams within each community at the Under 9 age level for Tignish, Alberton, O'Leary & Ellerslie (if we had interest in Evangeline we could have a group there or they could join up with the Ellerslie program hopefully). Last year the numbers were very good and we had 6 boys teams total and 6 girls teams total. We played an 8 game season and the league went very well with all the games at Hernewood - it was nice to see everyone playing on the same size fields, nets, etc... We had certified referees each week which helped in the learning aspect of the game.
The plan for 2026 would be very similar - these teams would practice in their community on a weekly basis once a week and would come to Hernewood once a week to play their weekly game in the summertime. We would love to see some coaches volunteer to spend their time with the different teams this summer. This is our biggest priority - to try and make sure that every team has a coach who is able to be with their team all summer long. The club will be helping to expand their coaching program/resources for the local coaches
Please follow the link below to register for the summer for any of our community programs - again, please take note that you will be asked the question of which community you are playing in, please let us know so that we can co-ordinate with the community leaders to help put the teams together.

All players under the age of 18 must be registered by the parent.
When sending your etransfer for registration fees - please take the time to put the player name in the comment section as we had quite a few registrations last year where we had to try and track down who actually sent us money. We thank you for your co-operation.
