Hi everyone,
I had sent out an email last week to mention that we would like to do a club wrap up this Thursday if anyone had a BBQ or two that they wanted to bring to the club house for the evening and we could do up some hot dogs for whoever wanted to stop by.
I didn't originally receive any response to that email so wasn't sure if we were going to be able to do anything or not, however we did get notice tonight that Collin Dillon is willing to bring his BBQ tomorrow to the field so if anyone in the club - whether it be from Under 5 all the way up to our senior teams - wants to stop by the field we will be there on site from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. I honestly don't know how many people to expect so we are going to purchase 15 dozen hot dogs and see where that takes us. It may be way too many or we may be needing a lot more than that.
If you think you might be stopping by, feel free to shoot off a quick email to allainbrian@hotmail.com and I will be checking my email as the day goes along, if it starts to look like we are going to have a ton of people then instead of 15 dozen we will pick up a few dozen more.
I will also be taking some time early next week to go thru everything from this past summer. I know there are some registrations that we have not collected, especially from the u5-7-9 age groups, that I am going to need to follow up on so we will be doing that. There are also a few from the competitive teams that we never did receive. Will also work at getting the ramp system completely updated for payments being applied to registration records, etc..
If any of our coaches are going by the field tomorrow, please feel free to stop in as well - if you do so, please bring back any of the equipment from the summertime as we want to get a handle on our gear and see what we need to purchase for next summer.
I will also be doing up a note to end off the year, just to go thru some housekeeping items and to offer the parents a chance to email back and provide some feedback. We know everything didn't go exactly as planned and we have some ideas on how to fix/improve things going forward - especially at the under 7 age group as that one seemed to be the one where we really struggled but I think we have a solution in place for 2026.
Overall though it has been a very successful summer and the competitive teams easily had the most successful summer that we have ever had. I will give everyone a little recap of that as well as a new venture for the club in joining up with a new uniform supplier.
For now, feel free to email me back and let me know if you think you will be around tomorrow (Thursday night), how many people may be joining you, etc.. and we will try and have enough hot dogs for everyone for the evening.
Thank you,
Brian
