Hi everyone,
Just wanted to send along as much of an update as I can for the moment. We have asked to have all of the community leaders (recreation directors, sports council, etc..) meet with us on Wednesday night so that we can finalize some plans for the upcoming summer.
It is our hope that we can finalize the dates for the under 7 jamborees that we want to host at Hernewood, finalize our start dates for all of the community programs as well as get an idea of what days & times each of the different communities will be planning to hold practices. We do know that the under 9 boys and girls league will run again on Thursday nights with games scheduled from anywhere from 5:30 to 7:30 pm for start times. We are in the process of trying to finalize the coaches for the under 9 teams in each community and we have some plans this year as well for the field layout at Hernewood. I will have more of an update for everyone after this meeting.
Please see below for the schedule for the upcoming week - again this is mainly for the competitive teams in the club as well as our tryouts for the under 9 travel teams that we are hoping to have.
Please note: For anyone on the competitive teams from under 11 to Senior who has not paid their registration fee, this will need to be paid by June 15 to avoid a late fee charge. If you need to make payment arrangements (ie: monthly installments) please reach out to Brian
Monday, June 9:
Senior women division 1 game vs. United FC is now canceled
Senior women division 3 team will play at 7:00 pm at Hernewood vs. Central queen’s
Under 13 girls first division practice from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Hernewood (please go to the under 13 field)
Tuesday, June 10:
Under 18 girls premier do not play this week
Under 9 boys travel team tryouts from 5:15 to 6:00 pm at Hernewood (please go to the main field inside the track)
Under 9 girls travel team tryouts from 5:15 to 6:00 pm at Hernewood (please go to the main field inside the track)
Under 11 girls division 2 and division 3 teams practice from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Hernewood (please go to the main field inside the track)
Under 13 boys first division team practice from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Hernewood (please go to the under 13 field)
Under 11 boys division 2 team practices from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Hernewood (please go to the Under 11 field)
Under 11 boys division 3 team practices from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Hernewood (please go to the Under 11 field)
Wednesday, June 11:
*** Have asked for a meeting with the local community leaders to finalize game nights/tournament dates as well as practice days & times for the different age groups
Under 18 girls first division do not play this week
Thursday, June 12:
Under 13 girls first division play at 7:00 pm at Hernewood vs. Sherwood
Under 13 boys first division play at 6:30 pm at the Winsloe Complex vs. Winsloe Blue (played the white team last week)
Friday, June 13:
Under 11 Girls Division 2 team do not play this weekend
Under 11 Boys Division 3 team play at Hernewood at 6:30 pm vs. Summerside 1
Under 11 Girls Division 3 are playing in the RC United girls only soccer tournament. They play their first game on Friday at 7:15 pm vs. Summerside at Eliot River Elementary - Upper #2 field
Saturday, June 14:
Under 11 Boys Division 2 team play at SIS school at 9:15 am vs. Summerside 1
Under 11 Girls Division 2 continue their round robin tournament schedule with games at New Haven at 12:00 pm vs. RC Hunter River and 7:00 pm vs. RC Cornwall #1 which will be back at Eliot River Elementary - Upper #2 field (if they make a crossover it would be at 8 am on Sunday)
Sunday, June 15:
Senior men division 2 plays at Hernewood at 4:00 pm vs. Ramblers FC
