Club Update

Schedule for the upcoming week:
Tuesday, May 20
5:30 to 6:30 pm - Uniform sizing for anyone on the under 11, 13 and 18 girl’s teams. Please come to the clubhouse on this evening if you need to order any jerseys/shorts/socks and if you are unsure of your sizing (boys sizing will have to be next week once we get the teams finalized). If you know your size please send it along to Brian at allainbrian@hotmail.com by Tuesday at midnight please.
7:00 pm - first league game for Under 18 girls premier team in Summerside at the turf field
Wednesday, May 21 at Hernewood
5:30 to 6:30 pm - Under 13 Girls (please go to the Under 13 field)
6:30 to 7:30 pm - Under 11 Boys (please go to the Under 11 field)
Thursday, May 22 at Hernewood
5:15 to 6:15 pm - Under 9 girls travel team tryouts (please go to the Under 13 field)
6:15 to 7:15 pm - Under 11 girls division 2 & division 3 teams (please go to the Under 13 field)
7:00 to 8:00 pm - Under 13 boys (please go to the senior field inside the track)
Note: Senior men’s league will be starting up league play on May 25 and our two senior women’s teams should be ready to play on May 26, locations and times to be determined.
Team updates:
Under 11 girl’s division 2 and division 3 teams - I will be sending around text messages in the next day or so to confirm everyone’s cell number so that I can send text messages weekly with schedule updates (we will post the updates thru the website/email/facebook when possible). I will have a note to send home with the players on Thursday night with some plans for the summer. I am hoping to have the schedules drafted for the summer by this time and if so, I will send them along as well to everyone.
Under 13 girls first division - I should have a schedule in the next day or so for the team as the rough draft is done and just needs to be checked by PEI Soccer. If I have it for Wednesday night then I will send it home for everyone to have for the summer. Communication is going to be very important with this team as I have kept a large number of players so will need to know when players are going to be missing games or practices. I will be sending around text messages in the next day or so to confirm everyone’s cell number so that I can send text messages weekly with schedule updates (we will post the updates thru the website/email/facebook when possible).
Under 11 boys division 2 and division 3 teams - we will name the teams after the session on Wednesday night and there will be more information to follow after that.
Under 13 boys first division - we will name the team after the session on Thursday night and there will be more information to follow after that.
Under 18 girls first division - we will plan to have a practice on Monday, May 26 for both under 18 teams for those who are available to attend and then the first game will be Wednesday, May 28 at 7 pm in Kensington at the elementary for the first division team.
Under 18 girls premier division - first game will be on Tuesday, May 20 at 7 pm in Summerside at the Credit Union Place turf field. Next week we will go with a practice on Monday, May 26 at Hernewood (time to be determined and if weather co-operates) and then the team will have a home game on the 27th.
Lincoln and I will be sending around text messages in the next day or so to confirm everyone’s cell number so that we can send text messages weekly with any schedule updates.
Other Notes:
Under 9 girls travel team tryouts will start this week with a session on Wednesday night. Since the under 11 boys teams are only being finalized this week, the under 9 boys travel team tryouts will start in another week or two.
We will be calling another meeting with the communities in early June to finalize all numbers, get coaches in place, etc.. for the under younger ages so a lot more information will be following on this. If the weather co-operates then we will try and have an outdoor session or two in late May/first of June for the younger ages to let them come out and get a kick of the ball again similar to what we did in April in the gym.
