Competitive Youth Teams - Update
May 11, 2025
Please see below for an update on all of our competitive youth teams for the upcoming summer as well as the tryout schedule for the week. Please take note of the scheduled time and the scheduled field that each team will be on for their session.
Tuesday, May 13 (outdoors at Hernewood)
5:30 to 6:30 pm - Under 11 boys - Under 13 field (field parallel main highway)
*** For those who are able to attend Tuesday night please let Shane/Karch know that night if you can also attend on Wednesday night. For those not able to attend on Tuesday, please email Brian at allainbrian@hotmail.com so he can let Shane/Karch know and also when emailing Brian please indicate whether you can attend on Wednesday as we need to know who will be there on Wednesday night for sure. We are going to split the players up into 3 or 4 teams and play games for the full session on Wednesday on the under 11 field.
6:00 to 7:00 pm - Under 15/18 girls - Under 18 field (inside track)
*** We are hoping to finalize the teams after this night, we are hopeful that we will have enough players to have the two teams again, we are definitely very close to being able to do so.
6:30 to 7:30 pm - Under 13 boys - Under 13 field (field parallel main highway)
*** If you are not able to attend, please email Brian at allainbrian@hotmail.com so he can information Sara/Clay.
Wednesday, May 14 (outdoors at Hernewood)
5:30 to 6:30 pm - Under 11 girls - Under 18 field (inside track)
5:30 to 7:00 pm - Under 11 boys - Under 11 field (field at entrance to Hernewood)
*** Players will be split into 3 or 4 teams and will be playing 20-30 min games throughout the whole practice so the coaches can get a good look at in-game play to make final decisions and then we will name the two teams for the season. Keep in mind that pei soccer has adopted open rosters for the under 11’s so basically players can go up or down to help out teams if we are short numbers on any given day.
6:30 to 7:30 pm - Under 13 boys - Under 13 field (field parallel main highway)
*** We are hoping to name the team after this session but if we think we need one more tryout to be sure as it is a big group trying out then we will add another session for the following week as we want to make sure we are comfortable with the final decision.
6:45 to 7:45 pm - Under 13 girls - Under 18 field (inside track)
*** We are planning to name the team after this session if everything goes well.
Thursday, May 15 (outdoors at Hernewood)
5:30 to 6:30 pm - Under 11 girls - Under 13 field (field parallel main highway)
*** We will name the two teams for the season after this session but again keeping in mind that pei soccer has adopted open rosters for the under 11’s so basically players can go up or down to help out teams if we are short numbers on any given day.
Final team selections:
Again, the hope is to finalize all of our competitive youth teams by the end of this week. If that happens then hopefully next week we can have the under 9 travel team tryouts take place and we will work towards getting another session or two for the community under 7 and under 9 age groups as well hopefully in the next couple of weeks while we wait for their programs to begin later on.
